‘Les Grands Romantiques Russes’ at the Festival d’Evian

Vincent is a regular guest at the annual Festival d’Evian at the Lake of Geneva. This year he conducted the magnificent Evian Festival Orchestra in an all Russian program at the opening night, Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev, 3rd pianconcerto by Rachmaninov with Russian pianist Nicolai Tolarev and Shostakovich 10th symphony. This extraordinary hall was built especially for Mstislav Rostropovich, during the years that he was the artstic director of the festival. The birch forest (Russian symbol) at the back with the chandeliers was created to make him less homesick
